The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) is a popular fantasy anime that follows the adventures of the legendary group of knights known as the Seven Deadly Sins. With multiple seasons, movies, and special episodes, it can be challenging to know the correct order to watch them in. This guide provides a clear watch order, helping you navigate the series seamlessly while identifying filler episodes that you can skip if you prefer to focus on the main story. Whether you’re a new viewer or a returning fan, this guide will enhance your viewing experience. So, let’s get started!
Plot Summary
After the Holy Knights seize control of the Kingdom of Liones, imprisoning her father and sisters, Princess Elizabeth sets out to find the Seven Deadly Sins, a notorious group of former Holy Knights. Once revered, the Sins were accused of attempting to overthrow the kingdom ten years ago and have been fugitives ever since. Her quest to locate these alleged traitors is daunting, leading her to a small tavern where she collapses in front of a seemingly ordinary, short man and his talking pig. This man is revealed to be Meliodas, the captain of the Seven Deadly Sins and the Dragon Sin of Wrath. Meliodas agrees to assist Elizabeth on her mission, and together, they journey across the land of Brittania to reunite with the other Sins, all while evading the relentless pursuit of the Holy Knights.
The Seven Deadly Sins series consists of five seasons, two movies, three OVAs, and two ONAs. Additionally, a new sequel has begun, similar to how Boruto continues the story of Naruto.

That’s the correct way to watch it. The new sequel story takes place several years after the events of the original series. It focuses on a new cast of characters, including the children of some of the characters from The Seven Deadly Sins. Don’t watch anything that is not mentioned in the list, and you can watch or skip the ones with the optional tag on it.
The Seven Deadly Sins Fillers
The anime series The Seven Deadly Sins aired from 2014 to 2021, spanning a total of 100 episodes. Despite its extensive run, the series maintained a remarkably low filler percentage, with only 4 reported filler episodes. This means that the vast majority of the episodes directly contribute to the main storyline, ensuring a consistent and engaging viewing experience for fans
Filler episodes are the four episodes of the 2nd Season. The episodes are pretty fun and will improve your mood. So it’s up to you whether to skip them or not. It’s just four episodes; we shouldn’t hurry to finish the journey, just enjoy it. Also, there is some important stuff in the last few minutes of each episode. So I recommend at least watching the last few minutes after the credits.
