Don’t worry – this simple watch order guide is here to help. So, Let’s get started on this exciting journey!
Plot Summary
In JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the story begins in 1868 when English nobleman George Joestar and his son Jonathan are saved from a carriage accident by Dario Brando. However, Dario’s true intention was to loot their belongings, believing them to be dead. Years later, George, grateful for the supposed rescue, adopts Dario’s son, Dio, after Dario’s death.
Dio, though outwardly charming and respectful, harbors a secret plan to take over the Joestar fortune. He starts by driving a wedge between Jonathan and his father, George, constantly trying to outshine and belittle Jonathan.
As the years pass, Dio and Jonathan maintain a façade of friendship. However, tension rises again when George falls mysteriously ill, and Jonathan suspects Dio’s involvement. Jonathan’s suspicions are proven correct when it becomes clear that Dio is willing to go to great lengths, even using dark and dangerous means, to achieve his goals. This sets the stage for an epic battle between the two, as Jonathan fights to protect his family and uncover the truth behind Dio’s schemes.
This initial arc introduces the themes of family, betrayal, and the supernatural elements that define the series, setting the stage for the many generations of Joestar family adventures that follow.

The OVAs released before the 2012 series are not essential for understanding the main storyline of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and can actually be quite confusing for newcomers due to their condensed storytelling and lack of continuity. So, I don’t recommend them for beginners. But if you are a longtime fan and want to watch everything, then you can watch JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (1993-2002 OVA) (Episodes: 13).
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Fillers
